Sibley Speedway
The track and entire setup at Sibley Orchards was great. A
special thanks to The Farrell Family for everything they did. The track was a very different
configuration than anything we have run before. You can call it Pocono because
it is almost triangular in shape but since the track was so wide it was almost a
perfect circle. The heat got the best of everyone Saturday even the track. It
was really hard to keep the track wet to hold down the dust. But there are
plenty of options to control that next year (or possible later this year?) It
looks like it was Larry Marcel in the Modified Single Cyl. taking the win and
then Greg Lundborg leading everyone in the Modified Twin Cyl. Over on the Super
Modifieds it was Jerry Justice on the #20 taking another checkered flag. He
seems to have built a top notch machine.
